"To say I’m confused, disappointed, and hurt is an understatement. Awhile back I had State Farm and left because every month my bill was different. Recently in the past year I went back to State Farm because I got a cheaper quote. I currently have my policy at the Garret Estes office, I know this is the Berea page but just bear with me, this is about an employee at the Berea location. Basically I have learned to not pay online and call the direct office every single month to make sure I have a zero dollar balance and my account is up to date. This was working for awhile, hence why I’ve kept my policy. Yesterday I called the Garrett Estes office like normal to pay my bill and the guy pulled everything up like normal and told me my bill and I was shocked - it was almost triple what it normally is. I asked why and he couldn’t figure out why it was so high so he said he would have a financial advisor call me - that’s where the Berea office steps in. A few hours later, I get a call from Briana in the financial department at the Berea office. She told me I was in nonpayment status, I was a month behind, and I have 3 weeks to pay or they will cancel my insurance. I was shocked. Every time I went to ask a question she would cut me off so I couldn’t get a word in, give me the this snotty attitude. She went on a rant about this is how their billing always is and they’ve had this policy for years and there’s nothing she can do for me - and mind you I’m just trying to get a word in. I had to finally respectfully tell her ma’am just please let me talk and explain, and instead of apologizing and actually listening to me she slammed the phone down. When I was done telling her that, I explained that I just spoke with the office last month and they told me my policy was up to date, good to go and fully paid in full. I always call every month because I don’t want any issues. She then became even more argumentative and I just felt like I was the biggest burden to her. It just didn’t feel right so I asked to speak to a manager and she said no. I asked to speak to a supervisor just to get a second opinion on what was happening and she said no. She then said she’s the only one in that department and she’s in charge. I kept getting pressed to pay the amount right then and there and I told her I just was not anticipating a triple bill, I’m a stay at home mom to two special ed kids. She then got all snotty and said “well there’s nothing we can do for you. Either pay or we are going to cancel it in 3 weeks or you’ll have to reinstate later.” She also said very snotty “oh my gosh we’ve sent you letters and emails” and I said I haven’t gotten anything sincerely which is the truth. I’ve had so many issues with State Farm, they can even look at the call log I’ve had to call to get them to mail insurance cards multiple times because I never got them. Either someone is saying they’re mailing it and they’re actually not or I don’t know what’s going on. I can promise I haven’t gotten a personal email because I check my email daily. I’m just tired of the games. I really didn’t need to hear her mouth, slamming the phone down and getting all snotty with me and making me feel less than because I don’t have that money right that second. I even offered to pay over half and pay the other half instead of the 3 week cancellation date if they could extend it one additional week. She said “yea well we can’t do that. There’s nothing we can do,” I asked to speak to someone else again just because she was just so rude and kept shutting me down. So now I’m standing there trying not to cry because I feel like she’s talking down to me and humiliating me and now I don’t know if I will have insurance. I expressed I just feel like I’m 1 step ahead and 10 steps back with State Farm. I said I guess I’ll have to call back I might have to look into car insurance quotes at other places and she got all snotty and said “ok, you do that, let us know..” - after that, I realized they don’t care. We are just a dollar sign.I am so done am going to have to figure something out :("
